Creston Valley Meats offers a wide selection of raw pet food recipes, proteins, organs, bones, tripe, and specialty products. Variety can help pet owners rotate proteins and provide different food experiences for their animals.

IMPORTANT: NOT EVERY PET FOOD PRODUCT IS A COMPLETE DIET

Some products are formulated recipes, while others are individual ingredients, recreational bones, organs, trim, or supplemental products.

Read each product description carefully. Do not assume that every individual meat, organ, bone, or specialty item is nutritionally complete and balanced for long-term feeding.

Ask your veterinarian or a qualified animal-nutrition professional for guidance based on your pet’s age, weight, health, activity level, and nutritional needs. Puppies, kittens, pregnant animals, senior pets, and animals with medical conditions may require specialized feeding plans.

TRANSITIONING TO RAW FOOD

Every animal is different. A gradual transition may be easier for pets with sensitive digestive systems.

A general transition may look like:

• Days 1–3: A small amount of raw food with the pet’s current diet
• Days 4–6: Increase the raw portion if your pet is doing well
• Day 7 and beyond: Continue adjusting toward the feeding plan selected for your pet

Watch your pet’s appetite, stool, energy, weight, and overall condition. Slow the transition and consult your veterinarian if your pet experiences persistent vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, discomfort, or loss of appetite.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I FEED?

Feeding amounts vary. Consider:

• Current body weight
• Ideal body weight
• Age
• Activity level
• Metabolism
• Health conditions
• Treats and supplemental foods

Monitor your pet’s body condition and adjust portions as needed with professional guidance.

SAFE FEEDING PRACTICES

• Keep raw products frozen until needed.
• Thaw food in the refrigerator.
• Wash your hands before and after handling raw products.
• Use clean bowls and utensils.
• Wash and sanitize surfaces after preparation.
• Keep raw pet food separate from ready-to-eat human food.
• Refrigerate unused portions promptly.
• Discard food left at room temperature for an unsafe amount of time.
• Supervise pets when feeding bones or unfamiliar products.

Never feed cooked bones. Cooking can make bones brittle and more likely to splinter.
